Supper Swap

I love supper swap! Without fail, Tuesdays roll around just in time. Last week it was the worst day ever at work and as I head out I thought, "thank goodness it's Tuesday. The girls are both so sick and husband calls asking "what's for dinner?" Whew! I am glad it's Tuesday.

How it works:
1. Get 4 members (families)
2. Each member cooks for the other 3 members (families) once a month for a total of 4 Tuesdays (or whatever day of the week you decide on). We sent out a calendar for the entire year.
3. Supper is picked up at cooks house at predetermined time
4. Supper consists of basically whatever the cook of the week decides. Typically a meat, veggie, bread, salad or dessert.

Living close to one another and being pretty good friends are also helpful in ensuring a smooth swap. Our group is mindful that "life happens" and we're pretty laid back about the swap. I must admit, cooking for the masses is quite challenging in the beginning. Over time, it gets easier as you realize what you can easily cook in multiple portions and what you cannot.
